Weight loss occurs in the mind before it occurs in the body. You must change the way you think in order for your actions to follow. One method I use to purify and focus my thoughts is reading motivational quotes. To read some of my favorite weight loss quotes, go to my Weight Loss Quotes page.
Below is an article written by Phillip England about weight loss quotes.
Get Inspired by a Weight Loss Motivation Quote
“If you don’t do what’s best for your body, you’re the one who comes up on the short end.”
— Julius Erving
You may be wondering what that quotation means or to whom it is addressed to. You might be surprised. That quote is an example of a weight loss motivation quote being used by many to inspire them through their battle with obesity.
A weight loss motivation quote is a saying or phrase taken, not just in weight loss books and journals, but also in literature and from famous people. Simply put, a weight loss motivation quote can be taken from just about anywhere, as long as it sends the message that you can lose weight and you have to have a healthy body.
Self-help
Quotes and lines by Winston Churchill, Eleanor Roosevelt, and even Mark Twain have been used as a weight loss motivation quote to help push people to lose weight. Most of these quotes do not directly mention weight loss. Rather, these quotes are targeting the individual’s psyche and emotions to help them get the inspiration to lose weight.
A weight loss motivation quote can either pertain to one’s habit:
“Habit is habit and not to be flung out of the window by any man, but coaxed downstairs a step at a time.”
— Mark Twain
Or can even push someone to strive for something:
“Never, never, never, never give up.”
— Winston Churchill
Nevertheless, you might be surprised at how people are using these quotes to help themselves shape up and stay fit.
Inspirations
Weight loss quotes are meant to inspire and motivate. But it is always important to keep in mind that these quotes are meant to push you to diet and exercise. A weight loss quote may prepare you emotionally and mentally to lose weight, but it does not stop there.
It is up to you to get up from that couch and start shaping up. After all, you would not want Mark Twain telling you directly to lose those pounds, right?

I am really starting to think that this whole “weight loss” focus is wrong. We need to be focused on “healthy living” and then everything else will follow…(like natural weight loss, longer life, cleaner arteries (heart health), better skin, and generally happier life) That, to me, makes a whole lot more sense! Thank you so much, Kristen K.
I like this post because i think it is very important to be able to stay focused on your weight loss results and having inspirational quotes running through your mind while working out can allow you to push that little bit harder and see much better results.
