Slow Weight Loss

by Dr. Kal

This is an excerpt of my Free Weight Loss Plan, the Don’t Go Broke Weight Loss Plan.

Everyone wants to lose weight quickly. It took ten years to gain the weight, but you want to lose it in ten minutes. You watch reality shows where people lose over fifteen pounds in one week, and you want to do that also. The real world does not work that way.

Buying Time

Large lifestyle changes lead to fast temporary weight loss. Small lifestyle adjustments lead to slow permanent weight loss. You choose.

Many of you have tried to throw money at your weight loss problem, trying to lose weight quickly. I have already told you. You cannot buy time, and weight loss requires time. It took time for you to gain the weight. Why do you think the reverse would be any different?

Fad Diets

Many of the fad diets and weight loss programs advertise large amounts of weight loss very quickly. Most of them are correct. If you follow their diet, you will lose weight very quickly, but will you be able to maintain it?

You start these diets and lose weight. But then you cannot maintain the diet because it requires too many changes too rapidly. Then you stop the diet and gain all the weight back. These diets just cause yo-yo weight loss. This cycle of gaining-losing-gaining is not only frustrating but even more dangerous to your health than being overweight.

The Don’t Go Broke Weight Loss Plan

The Don’t Go Broke Weight Loss Plan encourages a weight loss of one pound every week. However, half a pound a week is more than acceptable. It is very hard to lose and keep off one pound. I know, because I have lost and kept off 140 pounds.

The Don’t Go Broke Weight Loss Plan will teach you how to lose weight slowly and permanently.

Hey Dr Kal!

Great advice, especially for this time of year! Slowing down on the “eating season” snacking would help to not lose ground.

Always fun to read your tips!
