This is an excerpt of my Free Weight Loss Plan, the Don’t Go Broke Weight Loss Plan.
Sleep More
Sleep is very important and getting enough sleep is essential to weight loss. Lack of sleep can inhibit weight loss by:
- Increasing stress,
- Causing hormonal imbalances,
- Decreasing metabolism,
- Decreasing energy, and
- Increasing time available to eat.
Sleep deprivation increases the stress hormone cortisol and we know what stress does to us. Sleep deprivation also causes fatigue. Fatigue causes us to eat more and move less.
You should be sleeping at least seven hours every night. So, turn off the Tonight Show and get some shut eye. Your body will thank you for it.
