This is a post in Dr. Kal’s HOW TO Series.
One of the most important times in your life is your wedding. It’s a day you want to look good, right? Sometimes it is very difficult to keep the weight off and stay in shape. This is especially true when you have a million and one things to worry about, you have to taste every type of cake that is shoved in front of your face and every possible food for the menu. There is just not enough time in the day. Here is how to get in shape for your wedding so you can look amazing as you walk down the aisle.
Start Jogging
Jog in the morning. One of the healthiest things that you can do on a daily basis is jog. You don’t have to sprint down the road like you’re trying to win a race or anything. Just a light jog will do. You can even power walk if you can’t last very long running. This will help you keep off any unnecessary weight and help strengthen your body as a whole. Plus, you will feel so much healthier. Make sure you stretch before and after each time. If you just can’t find a reason to get out of bed early enough to have time to go jogging, just think of how much it will pay off when your day finally comes.
Do Crunches
Do crunches right after you jog. This will help get your stomach into shape and get rid of those love handles. Don’t think anyone is going to see those love handles in your wedding dress? Well, just think of the honeymoon after. Your new husband will appreciate how great you look in that lingerie and so will you. Don’t overdo the crunches, only do as much as you know you can handle. Start with about 10-20 and each day as they get easier, increase the amount you do. If you don’t feel the burn, then you’re not doing enough. Do about three sets of these crunches and stretch after.
Eat Right
Watch what you eat. Since you are preparing for a wedding, it can be hard to do this. If you know you are going to be trying a lot of food one day, jog for about 20 minutes longer the next day if you can. It will help you burn those extra calories.
Your Wedding
It may be hard to know exactly how to get in shape for your wedding, but it’s possible if you start as soon as you know you are getting married. This way, you can get into the habit of staying in shape and will have extra time to reach your goals. Remember, staying fit and eating healthy will help relieve all that extra stress!
