That works if you have the will power.  I don&#039;t.  I agree with giving in to the craving.  I will give in a little and throw the rest out.  If I leave it in my home, I&#039;ll likely give in to my craving again and again.</description>

		<description>I thought the idea of eating &quot;around a craving&quot; was extremely insightful. Even though I&#039;ve come pretty far on my weight loss journey I know I still have absurd days where I probably have a 1k calorie surplus because I was craving something that I didn&#039;t buy at the store for fear of temptation. Now I think that even if I buy ice cream or something similar, I should trust my ability to control portions. If I can stretch out a huge bag of tortilla chips and a jar of salsa con queso over the course of weeks, I definitely can learn to portion out sweeter treats. I&#039;ve also found that chewing gum is a great substitute too.</description>
