Dr. Oz’s Effect On Dr. Kal
In 2004, I was an almost 340 pound doctor. Between 2004 and 2006, I lost over 130 pounds. During that time, I often watched Tivo’d episodes of The Oprah Show with Dr. Oz. His many lessons helped write my weight loss story.
Since 2006, Dr. Oz’s many television appearances and books have provided me with information to help me maintain my weight loss. His book You: On A Diet: The Owner’s Manual for Waist Management changed my view on weight loss. As a doctor caring for my patients, I now worry more about visceral fat than subcutaneous fat. I focus more on waist management than weight management.
Dr. Oz has been an influence on my life and on the inexpensive weight loss plan I designed in 2007 called the Don’t Go Broke Diet.
